Your personal preferences and financial constraints will determine the best neighborhood for you. Now that you’ve read this, you’ll be an expert on lodging options in Antalya.

Antalya, Turkey, is the country’s third-largest metropolis and sits on the Mediterranean. In the summer, when the sun is high and the water is warm, the town transforms into a tourist mecca for visitors to Turkey. If you book a room in the right part of Antalya, you’re in for a real treat!

WHERE TO STAY IN ANTALYA

Kaleici is the historic district of Antalya’s modern city center. At that spot, you can see Hadrian’s Gate, which serves as a reminder of the city’s long history and its status as a major political and commercial hub during the Roman Empire. As a result, many of the buildings from the Ottoman era are still standing, adding to the quaint atmosphere of the city’s cobblestone streets.

Belek, a resort town located about a half-hour’s drive from Antalya city, caters specifically to visitors who want to relax on the beach without having to deal with much else. Belek has many all-inclusive resorts and numerous, well-maintained golf courses. In turn, this causes local prices to rise slightly.

Prices are lower and the beach is longer at Konyaalti, a pebble beach not far from Antalya’s downtown. To accommodate the hordes of sightseers who swarm the area on warm days, a plethora of cafes, restaurants, and killer watering holes have set up shop there. You can rent sun loungers and umbrellas with ease at Konyaalti Beach, and the view of the surrounding mountains in Antalya is breathtaking.

Olympos Beach, another cool and lively area known for its beaches, is sure to please beachgoers. It’s also worth your time to check out Lara, which has some fantastic beaches and, thanks to its mild surf, is great for families.
