THE LEGEND OF THE HISTORIC PERA PALACE HOTEL
Where modern luxury intertwines with the timeless elegance of Belle Époque charm!
Nestled in the heart of Istanbul, the Pera Palace Hotel is a beacon of history and sophistication. With its stunning art-nouveau features, this iconic hotel has been a symbol of Istanbul’s vibrant past and dynamic present for over a century. Offering a unique blend of contemporary comfort and old-world allure, the Pera Palace is perfectly situated for uncovering the city’s treasures.
Designed to captivate, the hotel boasts a striking art-nouveau façade paired with an Orientalist-inspired Kubbeli Saloon. Since its completion, it has welcomed generations of travelers, serving as the backdrop for some of history’s most fascinating moments. Spanning the reigns of three Ottoman sultans, the fall of the Ottoman Empire, and the birth of the Turkish Republic, the Pera Palace Hotel has been a silent witness to it all.
Construction of this remarkable hotel began in 1892, and by 1895, it was ready to host passengers from the legendary Orient Express, the iconic luxury train established in 1883 by Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits. Designed by the celebrated architect Alexander Vallaury, the hotel features a harmonious blend of neo-classical exteriors and oriental interiors. Today, the Pera Palace continues to enchant visitors with its art-inspired spaces, offering an unparalleled glimpse into Istanbul’s rich cultural heritage.
