Renowned Guests of the Pera Palace Hotel
Over the years, the Pera Palace Hotel has been graced by many illustrious guests. One of the most famous was Agatha Christie, the queen of detective novels, who frequented the hotel between 1926 and 1932. Room 411, her favorite, is now the Agatha Christie Room. Legend has it that she wrote Murder on the Orient Express here and may have stayed at the hotel during her mysterious 11-day disappearance.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey, resided in Suite 101, now preserved as a museum in his honor. Renowned author Ernest Hemingway also called the hotel home during his time as a reporter after World War I.

Other distinguished guests include İsmet İnönü, Celal Bayar, King Edward VIII, Queen Elizabeth II, Emperor Franz Joseph, Shah Reza Pahlavi, and Josip Broz Tito.
